New plates and plates transfer
The procedures must be done in person at our office (Office) at the time of requesting the records, you must present the following:

Driver's license or passport (required for all owners, driver's license and passport can be used)

Proof of Florida insurance (if you don't already have it, we can provide one for you)

Request a copy of the title with us if you need it.
Please note: Some situations may require additional documentation.

Florida Standard Plate Options are metal plates governed by section 320.06, Florida Statutes.
Florida Personalized License Plates
Specialty plates are also available from Fast Tag Services and include a variety of plate combinations. Some of the most popular designs are navy and military labels, as well as professional, college and sports labels.

Customers can renew their vehicle registration for a period of one or two years. The decal renewal process can begin three months before the expiration date. ​
Vehicle registrations expire at midnight on the first owner's date of birth, unless the owner is a business.

To transfer the title of your car to a new owner, you must have the following documents:

The current title, signed by both the seller and the buyer.

A bill of sale (containing the odometer reading, the price of the vehicle, and the signatures of all parties involved in the sale).

Driver's license or valid passport
Out of State Titles
If you have purchased a car that was titled in a different state, or inherited a vehicle from parents who live in another state, there are certain things you must do to get your car titled in Florida. The first document you will need is the letter from the previous owner
that contains the current mileage of the car.
